Racing postponed for the RC44

Racing postponed due to the lack of wind on day one of the RC 44 Austria Cup . The nine RC 44’s involved in the Austria Cup motored around the entire Lake Traunsee today, enjoying the great scenery whilst desperately looking for the breeze that would allow them to start the match race event.

However, the high altitude “foehn” (southerly wind) didn’t allow the thermal breeze to kick in, forcing the RC 44 Race Director Peter Reggio to send everyone back to the hospitality area established on the Gmunden Esplanade. Tomorrow’s another day…
