According to various sources or should we say rumors, the 14th team is Luna Rossa (Italian) and backed by Prada's boss Patrizio Bertelli. It will be the fourth successive time the Italian team takes part in the world's oldest sporting event. With Luna Rossa's inclusion there will be four Italian teams in the competition, joining Argo, Mascalzone Latino and Green Challenge.

Other teams have not yet officialised their participation although they have until December 15th to do so. They are China Team, K.Challenge, BMWOracle, and another team from China.
