The Swiss Defender took a consecutive win yesterday for the first time in this America’s Cup, a first to five series. Alinghi beat the Challenger Emirates Team New Zealand by 19 seconds to go 3-2 up. We asked Francesco Rapetti (ITA), the mastman onboard SUI100, how this felt: “Very good, it’s what we like, it’s what we want: some continuity. We missed that in the first part of the regatta and I think it was because the wind was so shifty. Now we want to go on to win today.” He added: “Race 6 this afternoon is a very important race, for sure. It could be a turning point in this series.”
